Law firm relocates to Bloomfield Hills

Sabrina Cronin didn’t intend for the upcoming open house for her company, Cronin Law Firm, PLLC, to symbolize something deeper about gender, but she’s aware that for some, it might.

The new office at 21 East Long Lake Road, Suite 250 in Bloomfield Hills is a majority women office, and is headed by Cronin, a wife and mother.

“I’m proud of our growth and of the work we do, and it just so happens that ‘our work’ is largely done by females,” said Cronin, a former Oakland County prosecutor.

That doesn’t mean Cronin discounts the impact of gender in her advocacy.

“As a female lawyer, I have an unparalleled ability to see both sides of the issue,” she added.

Cronin, a Saginaw native, said her parents — the late Dr. Samuel “Doc” Shaheen and her mother, Patricia — instilled in her a strong work ethic and family values. She earned both an M.B.A and a J.D. at the same time from the University of Detroit and has worked for a host of law firms in addition to her work at the prosecutor’s office.

The Open House that will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on November 21 in the new law office will be a chance to herald not just a bit of woman power, but to celebrate the firm’s expansion in just over a year’s time.  Cronin upgraded from a small space across the street to the more than 3,400-square foot office, and has added a 4-person law team as well as expanded her client base.

The firm handles a variety of legal specialties, which include Criminal Law, Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice, Family Law, Estate Planning, Entertainment Law, Social Security Law, Business Law and Appeals.
