 FBA presents update on new E-discovery Model Order Jan. 14

The Federal Bar Association In conjunction with the judges of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan present “The New E-discovery Model Order - a Roadmap for Efficiency and Avoiding Litigation Pitfalls.” Join us for a fast-paced update on the cutting edge of e-discovery practice and procedure from 11:30-1:45 on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in Room 115 of the Theodore Levin Federal Courthouse in downtown Detroit. Judicial invitees include Judge Robert Cleland and Magistrate Judge Michael  Hluchaniuk and E-Discovery Professionals include Stott Matthews and Mark St. Peter.  Attorney Presenters will include Daniel Quick, Kevin Fanning and Megan McKnight. Law firm is recipient of USFN?Diamond Award of Excellence for 16th consecutive year

 
Trott & Trott, P.C., a Farmington Hills-based real estate law firm, has been named a recipient of USFN’s 2013 Diamond Award of Excellence.
The USFN Award of Excellence program was initiated in 1993 to recognize and encourage member firms to develop and maintain high standards of excellence in service to industry clients and their communities. The Award of Excellence is given annually to USFN member firms who meet rigorous standards that evaluate professional activities, industry volunteerism, and community and charity involvement by the firm.

Detroit Midwest Regional Anti-Corruption Seminar Jan. 16

 
The Detroit Midwest Regional Anti-Corruption Seminar will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Masonic Temple in Detroit. The keynote speaker will be Barbara McQuade, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan. Other participants will include David Jaffe, General Counsel of Guardian Industries, David DuMouchel of Butzel Long, Nolan Finley, Editorial Page Editor of the Detroit News, and Professor Peter Henning of Wayne State University Law School.
