Tulsa sheriff's deputy accused of sexual assault

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - An Oklahoma sheriff's deputy has been accused of sexually assaulting two women at a Tulsa County home, a case that follows a state trooper being arrested on a rape complaint and an Oklahoma City officer being accused of sexually assaulting several women.

The Tulsa County sheriff's office said the 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night. He was being held on $65,000 bond for sexual assault and battery complaints.

Tulsa County Maj. Shannon Clark said the office received the complaint against the deputy Tuesday morning. According to the arrest report, a woman told authorities the uniformed officer came to her home Tuesday morning, saying he was investigating a 911 hang-up call, The Oklahoman reported. She said the deputy searched her house, touched her and exposed himself.

Another woman at the home said the deputy took her to his patrol car and forced her to touch his privates.

Officials said the deputy told investigators he had exposed himself to several women. He has been placed on administrative leave.

The arrest comes after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested state trooper Eric Roberts, 42, on Monday on complaints of kidnapping, rape and other crimes after three women alleged the officer sexually assaulted them while he was on duty. Roberts' attorney, Gary James, said his client is innocent.

Roberts' arrest came just weeks after an Oklahoma City police officer was accused of sexually assaulting at least eight women while on duty. In that case, Daniel Holtzclaw has pleaded not guilty to 16 felony counts, including rape and sexual battery.
