Posing at the Symposium

Butzel Long presented a Business Symposium on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the M@dison Building in Detroit.  Attendees included start-ups and growing companies interested in learning about legal tools and tips to thrive in an ever-changing business marketplace. Both corporate and litigation attorneys from Butzel Long spoke on a variety of topics during the program. A highlight of the symposium featured an expert panel with several metro Detroit area business leaders.  Among those taking part in the symposium were (front row, l-r) Paul Mersino, attorney, Butzel Long; Terry Barclay, president and CEO, Inforum; Robin Luce-Herrmann, attorney, Butzel Long; Jennifer Dukarski, attorney, Butzel Long; and, Geaneen Arends, attorney, Butzel Long; along with (back row) James Rosenfeld, attorney, Butzel Long; Phillip Korovesis, attorney, Butzel Long; Mike Brennan, Capital Strategist, Macomb-OU INCubator; Jonathan Hughes, CFO, Shinola/Detroit LLC; Bernard “Bernie” Fuhs, attorney, Butzel Long; Trevor Pawl, managing director, Pure Michigan Business Connect; and, Ziyad Hermiz, attorney, Butzel Long.  The event benefitted Young Detroit Builders, an educational training program that helps qualified low income young adults ages 18-24 earn their GEDs while getting hands-on construction training.
