Photo 1: U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Anthony P. Patti was sworn in during a formal investiture ceremony on Friday, April 24, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Patti was supported by his proud family at the ceremony. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1987 and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1990. After law school, he joined the law office of Hooper, Hathaway, Price, Beuche, & Wallace in Ann Arbor where he practiced for 24 years in the areas of complex and general commercial litigation, trade secrets and unfair competition law, trademark and copyright law, employment and employment litigation, securities litigation, tort litigation, professional malpractice law, probate litigation, and appellate work. He has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Ave Maria School of Law and at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where he taught trial advocacy and medical malpractice courses. Patti is a member of the State Bar of Michigan; the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter; the Washtenaw County Bar Association; the National Italian-American Bar Association; the Italian-American Bar Association of Michigan; and the Catholic Lawyers Guild.
