Bail Reform

The Oakland County Bar Association continued its criminal law seminar series on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the OCBA offices in Bloomfield Hills. Speaking on “Pre-Trial Reform:?An Analysis of Local and National Trends” were Barbara Hankey, manager, Oakland County Community Corrections (left); and Eric Schmidt, chief of field operations, Oakland County Community Corrections. The two discussed the impetus behind bail reform, why bail reform is needed, and the impact these reform efforts have had on Michigan and Oakland County.
