Law firm contributes more than $6,000 to Detroit Heart Walk

Kerr Russell colleagues raised $6,230 for the 25th anniversary Detroit Heart Walk, benefiting the Southeast Michigan American Heart Association. This was in addition to the firm’s overall sponsorship of the event and to member Jason Bank’s leadership on the Heart Walk’s executive cabinet.

In all, the Heart Walk raised nearly $1.3 million dollars this year. Kerr Russell was represented at the May 12 Heart Walk by more than 30 attorneys and employees, friends, and family members who braved blustery, rainy conditions to show their support, including Daniel Schulte, Joanne Geha Swanson, Jason Bank, Broc Gullett, John Quayhackx, Roy Sexton, Shamara Thomas, Janice Harmon, Karen Schumer, Rebecca Lohr, Gail Showler, Cynthia Villeneuve, Susan Smith, Laina Van Wyke, Amy McIntyre, Laura Jones, Kristina Kalfayan, Melissa Bunge, Jean Wandzel, Brenda Nelson, and Carol Pratt. Broc Gullett finished 9th overall in the 5K run.

Kerr Russell hosted the “Healthy Selfie” station in the Heart Walk village on the Wayne State University campus.

Jason Bank commented, “We are grateful to have such a caring and compassionate team here at Kerr Russell, people who give so much of their time and treasure to our Metro Detroit/Southeast Michigan community. I am honored to have represented the firm on the 25th anniversary Heart Walk executive cabinet, and I’m so proud of the Walk’s overall accomplishment.”
