Women in the Workplace

The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (WLAM) along with the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, and TMA NOW Detroit presented “Women in the Workplace: Has Anything Really Changed Since ‘9 to 5?’” on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Maple Theater in Bloomfield Township. The event featured a Fireside Chat with (seated, l-r) Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Kirsten Frank Kelly and Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langford Morris, who discussed topics regarding the difficulties for women in the workplace and how women still face some of these issues during the course of their employment. Following the chat was a private screening of the film “9 to 5.”  Among those attending were (standing, l-r) Tanya Grillo, Jackie Cutler, Kirsten Silwanowicz, Katie Montague, Ashley Jericho, Women’s Bar Association President Erin Flynn, and Erin Klug.
