Due to Covid-19 precautions, 36 graduates of WMU-Cooley’s Michigan campuses were sworn into the Michigan Bar virtually on Friday, May 15. WMU-Cooley graduates joined nearly 100 other Michigan bar passers who were given a unique opportunity by the Michigan Supreme Court and State Bar of Michigan to be sworn in by Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Bridget McCormack, upon a motion presented by State Bar of Michigan President Dennis Barnes. The ceremony was carried out online, allowing the graduates to invite family and friends to participate in the ceremony from remote locations. Following the ceremony WMU-Cooley graduate Judge Rosemarie Aquilina of 30th Circuit Court hosted the Ingham County Bar Association virtual reception.
