Former U.S. Attorney is guest on 'The Litigation War Room' podcast

Maxwell Goss, a litigation partner at intellectual property specialty law Fishman Stewart, recently welcomed former U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider as a guest on his podcast, “The Litigation War Room.” Featuring great conversations and great insights from some of the nation’s most accomplished courtroom lawyers, “The Litigation War Room” covers a wide range of topics of interest to courtroom lawyers in every area of law.

On Episode 14: Chat with Former U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider, listeners can hear never-before-heard stories about how Schneider’s office handled major law enforcement challenges including the COVID-19 crisis and the civil unrest and protests following the death of George Floyd.  Schneider also discusses prosecuting the leadership of the UAW on corruption charges and working in his current role managing internal investigations as the co-leader of Honigman’s white collar defense and investigations practice group.  Schneider, too, offers some good tidbits on this podcast for attorneys looking to make a career in public service.

As the former U.S. Attorney–Eastern District of Michigan, Schneider was the chief federal law enforcement official for approximately 6.5 million people in 34 counties. The office is widely recognized for significant prosecutions involving international terrorism, violent crime, public corruption, environmental crime, financial fraud, drug trafficking, civil rights and numerous other criminal and civil matters. Prior to that appointment, Schneider was the Chief Deputy Attorney General for the State of Michigan. In that position, he supervised the office’s 40,000 ongoing cases and managed a budget of over $100 million in taxpayer funds.

Host and founder of The Litigation War Room, Maxwell Goss focuses his IP litigation practice on trade secret, trademark, patent, and copyright matters, as well as licensing and technology disputes at Fishman Stewart.  Further, he provides strategic advice to businesses and individuals on IP, internet law, and business law matters.
