The Law-Related Education Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) conducted the 17th Annual Youth Law Conference on Monday, April 18, at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy.  This year’s theme was “The Real Thing—Law in Your Life.”

Preparing for the program were (above, left to right) Sayeda Davidson of Law Offices of Lee and Correll and OCBA President Jennifer Grieco of Neuman Anderson PC.  The keynote speaker for the conference was retired Oakland County Judge Gene Schnelz of Schnelz Wells PC.

The Youth Law Conference, sponsored by the Oakland County Bar Foundation, is a one-day event for high school seniors that features a variety of legal issues as they pertain to students.

This year, seminar topics included “Using Forensic Evidence to Solve Crimes,” “Criminal Law,” “Veterans Law,” Cyberspace Minefields,” “K-9 Unit,” “TV Shows: Fact to Fiction,” “Employment Law,” and “Law & Technology.”
