During the 2011-2012 fiscal year the Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Committee (NLC) raised money for The Helping Families Cope Program.

With the generous support of their sponsor, Stout Risius Ross, and their fundraising efforts at events like Summer Splash, Novemberfest, New Lawyers vs. OCBA Board Bowling Challenge, Meet the Judges Party, and Tigers Outing, the committee raised $10,666.73 for the charity.

They presented the check to The Helping Families Cope Program in a special on-field check presentation before a Detroit Tigers game on Friday, June 15.

On the field representing the Oakland County Bar Association are (left to right) OCBA Immediate Past President Peter Alter, NLC Immediate Past Chair Jamie Low, and NLC Chair Marc Jerabek; representing Stout Risius Ross is Denise Bach; and representing The Helping Families Cope Program are the program co-founders Violet James and Krystal Kuehn, counselor Felisa Perry, and Board Chair Jerry Kuhl.
