'MiPad Practice'

The Practice Management Resource Center of the State Bar of Michigan presented “MiPad Practice: iPad for Legal Professionals” on Monday, Sept. 24, at the Auburn Hills campus of Cooley Law School.

Speaking at the seminar was attorney Brett Burney (pictured) of Burney Consultants LLC.

“I work with a lot of lawyers—training them to use the iPad, Macs, and iPhones—and that’s exactly what we’re doing today,” Burney said. “We’re going to be giving a full day presentation on how lawyers and legal professionals can better use the iPad in their practice.”

Prior to establishing his consulting firm, Burney spent more than five years at the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP where he worked with litigation teams in building document databases, counseling on electronic discovery issues, and supporting them at trial.

Also speaking at the program were State Bar of Michigan Practice Management Advisors Diane Ebersole and JoAnn Hathaway.
