On Saturday, May 18, U.S. District Court Judge Victoria Roberts, Eastern District of Michigan, led an all-day training at Cooley Law School's Auburn Hills campus for 20 law students from eight different law schools who will participate in the Wolverine Bar Foundation’s Judicial Externship Program.

Roberts started the program in 2001 to expand federal clerkship opportunities for minority students who will gain firsthand experience in federal practice, court proceedings, and conferences between judges and attorneys.

They will also assist the judges to whom they are assigned with legal research and writing projects.
