DIA exhibit featuring 20th-century artists

DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Institute of Arts features an exhibition highlighting prints and watercolors by more than 30 artists of the 20th century. The works are part of "Let Me Show You What I Saw: American Views on City and Country, 1912-1963." It is on view now through June 29. The exhibition is free with museum admission and for residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. The show is organized by the DIA and is mostly drawn from the museum's collection. It focuses on artists who used time of day, season, weather, lighting and shadows to trigger suggestive moods, tones and atmospheres.
