Court revives case involving Detroit area man, no-fly list

DETROIT (AP) - A lawsuit challenging a Dearborn man's placement on a government no-fly list is returning to federal court in Detroit.

An appeals court didn't rule on the merits of Saeb Mokdad's lawsuit Monday. But it said Judge Victoria Roberts can hear the dispute. She had dismissed the case in 2013 over jurisdiction issues.

Mokdad, a U.S. citizen, is a concert promoter who says he's been barred from flying to Lebanon without explanation. A search warrant mistakenly unsealed in federal court said he was being investigated in the kidnappings of Syrians in Lebanon in 2012, in a feud involving extended family.

Mokdad was in Beirut at the time but denies any role.
