Local museum features display with model of Chicago train station

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP (AP) - A model of Chicago's Union Station is now on display at a nonprofit museum in western Oakland County.

Chi-Town Union Station's 11th season is open through mid-March at the West Oakland Railroad Museum in Commerce Township.

The Daily Tribune reports the display showcases the world's largest O-Scale model railroad and the longest model train. It features a 30-year collection of O-Scale trains running on a three-rail track.

Chi-Town Union Station seeks a historically accurate interpretation of what the nation's primary railroad hub looked like in the 1950s and '60s.

Five major railroads reaching across the U.S. are also on display at the museum.
