Alumni to share family law experience at Wayne Law

Five Wayne State University Law School alumni will speak about family law Thursday, March 31, as part of Wayne Law’s Alumni Speakers Series.

The event will be from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall 2242 of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at the law school, 471 W. Palmer St. Lunch will be provided. The event is free, but registration is required. Register at law.wayne.edu/familylaw2016. Parking is available for $7 (credit and debit cards only) in Structure One across West Palmer Street from the law school.

Featured alumni will be:

• Lori Buiteweg, class of 1990, a shareholder at Nichols, Sacks, Slank, Sendelbach, & Buiteweg PC in Ann Arbor where she focuses her practice on matrimonial law. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, one of less than 50 in Michigan and 1,600 nationwide. Buiteweg is president of the State Bar of Michigan.

• Daniel Findling, class of 1997, a partner at Findling Law, a Royal Oak divorce and family law firm. He has been named an Avvo Top Divorce Attorney.

• Fred Findling, class of 1956, a partner at Findling Law. He has six decades of legal experience in areas including juvenile law, civil rights, bankruptcy and immigration law.

• Carlo Martina, class of 1979, an attorney at Carlo J. Martina PC in Plymouth. He has served as chair of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section Council Executive Board and as president of the Wayne County Family Law Bar Association.

• Marie Pulte, class of 1986, an attorney at Marie A. Pulte PC in Plymouth, where she specializes in family law, mediation and arbitration. She has served as chair of the Family Mediation Council – Michigan and is a past board member of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan.

Associate Professor Adele Morrison will moderate the discussion. She teaches Family Law, as well as Child, Family & State at the law school.
