On Friday, Nov. 4, the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan (HBAM) celebrated its 25th anniversary aboard the Detroit Princess. Among those ready to set sail for the celebration were (left to right) Abril Valdes of Clement and Hurst PLC, Mary Rubio of the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Nicholas Siewert of Triumph Law PLC, Amber Cervantez of Hewson & Van Hellemont PC, Teresa Hendricks of Hendricks & Watkins PLC and guest, Grosse Pointe Farms attorney Mayra Rodriguez, and Laura Taitt. Since 1991, HBAM has been providing a voice for Michigan’s Hispanics in the legal profession; counseled and assisted the Hispanic community; and advocated for greater representation of Hispanics in the legal profession and in public office. HBAM looks forward to many more years of serving the legal profession and the community.
