Judges and seasoned litigators to give advice at NBI program, April 13

National Business Institute will present “What Judges and Seasoned Litigators Want You to Know” on Friday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the Embassy Suites Hotel Detroit-Southfield, 28100 Franklin Road.

NBI recently surveyed attorneys across the U.S., asking them what fundamental issues they have regarding their local civil courts. The answers were compiled and NBI created this full-day, real-world, practical program taught by experienced lawyers and civil court judges so that attendees get both perspectives on the issues that matter most.

Attendees will:

• Find out exactly what judges want to see regarding motions, memorandums and briefs.
• Gain advice from lawyers AND judges on issues attorneys have with discovery.
• Get fundamental advice regarding expert witnesses.
• Find out what are the judge’s pet peeves.
• Understand how judges feel about recusals and Writs of Mandamus legal principles.
• Find out what judges expect from attorneys, including courtroom etiquette must-knows.
• Get advice from experienced lawyers regarding arguments.
• Receive exclusive guidance from veteran trial attorneys on how to handle voir dire and jury instruction conferences.

Cost is $359 which includes audio CD and course book.  To register, call 1-800-930-6182 or visit www.nbi-sems.com.
