Local attorney's art to benefit William Booth Legal Aid Clinic

The AtomArt Gallery in Ferndale will be running an exhibit of art created by local attorney and magistrate Richard Halprin.  “The Faces That We Face” exhibits from Jan. 11-Feb. 15. Opening reception takes place on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 4 to 10 p.m. with live music, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Closing reception takes place on Thursday, Feb. 14, 6 to 10 p.m.

In support of Halprin’s charity, the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic, AtomArt will donate a portion of all sales for the duration of the exhibit.

Halprin chose to pursue a career in law thirty years ago though the arts never stopped pursuing him. While spending most of his full time advocating on behalf of clients, he has rerouted his creative energy into side projects as a published film critic, song writer and editor, all the while filling up the margins of his legal pad with whatever drawings the spirits presented. He now has a rich catalogue of curiosities, many of
which will be on display and for sale at AtomArt Gallery.

Since 2014, AtomArt Gallery has provided space for private events in addition to exhibiting works of art by fantastic artists.  It is located at 522 E. Nine Mile, just a few blocks East of Woodward Ave., in downtown Ferndale among award winning restaurants and boutique retail.  For additional information, visit www.atom-art.com.
