'Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court' offered March 11 in Novi

The Citizen's Alliance of the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts will conduct a free seminar for senior citizens and their families on Monday, March 11, at the Novi Senior Center from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Titled "Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court," the seminar will provide attendees with information on the advantages and disadvantages of avoiding probate, when and how to use a will, trust and/or Power of Attorney, how to begin probate proceedings, and when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships.

Panelists will include Probate Register Jill Koney Daly from the Oakland County Probate Court,Senior Fiduciary Officer Teresa Sullivan from JPMorgan Chase Bank, and private practice attorney Michael Hughes from the law firm of Booth Patterson PC.

Materials will be available on trusts, estates, and the legal rights of senior citizens. Adequate time will be available for questions.

"Removing the Mysteries" has been offered by the Oakland County Probate Court for nineteen years, with thousands of citizens participating. Plans are underway for the fall series.
