Elected officials to meet at Detroit Zoo for the 10th Tri-County Summit

On Monday, Sept. 20, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners will host the 10th Tri-County Summit at the Detroit Zoo, located at 8450 West Ten Mile Road in Royal Oak. This is a milestone anniversary that reflects the ongoing spirit of regional cooperation between Commissioners from Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and members of the Detroit City Council.

In 1998, the first Tri-County Summit was hosted by Wayne County and the Michigan Association of Counties and was held at the Michigan State Fair. Keeping in line with this tradition, regional leaders come together to identify common issues at the Summit, each year.

Oakland County Board Chairman Bill Bullard Jr. is looking forward to the summit and states: "For years, we have collaborated with leaders from across the region to address many issues that impact the quality of life for residents in the Tri-County area. This event provides us with an opportunity to join with our Tri-County colleagues. We welcome the participation of the business community, at this milestone event, since they also have an integral role to play in our region's continued development as we continue this successful tradition of cooperation.
