News (AP) - Young Professionals of Rochester hosting downtown restaurant tour

Rochester area residents, young professionals, and all who are interested are invited to an event in downtown Rochester on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event, a downtown Rochester Restaurant Tour, will travel between some of the most popular eateries and hotspots in Rochester.

The event will feature local dining establishments, bars, and cafés. Participating restaurants include Gus O'Connor's Public House, The Royal Park Hotel, Lime Light, Beyond Juice and Kabin Kruisers Oyster Bar. The local eateries will be serving free appetizers and drink specials. The charge to attend the event is a $20 donation to support Rochester's Community Kitchen. Attendees may bring five non-perishable food items to save $5.

The Downtown Rochester Restaurant Tour will take place on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees should register between 6 and 6:30 p.m. at Gus O'Connor's Public House. At this location, attendees will be given a map to the participating restaurants. Those visiting all participating locations will be entered to win one of several door prizes.
