New history of women in the civil rights movement focus of event, March 8

The Wolverine Bar Association, the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and the Association of Black Judges of Michigan will present a dialogue with Prof. Danielle L. McGuire on Tuesday, March 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wayne State University Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium.

McGuire is author of "At the Dark End of the Street: Black Women, Rape and Resistance--A New History of the Civil Rights Movement from Rosa Parks to the Rise of Black Power"

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
