Bronner's vandals sentenced to jail time

SAGINAW (AP) -- A judge has sentenced four men who admitted to damaging displays outside a popular mid-Michigan Christmas-themed store to summer jail time.

A judge last Thursday ordered Ryan Buchler, Branden Dean, and Caleb and Samuel Quintanilla to spend three months in the Saginaw County Jail followed by three years' probation. Their sentences start the day before Memorial Day.

The Genesee Township men range in age from 17 to 20.

They pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of property and conspiracy and paid their shares of more than $18,000 in damage done Christmas morning at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, about 73 miles northwest of Detroit. More than 50 figurines were damaged.

A fifth defendant, 21-year-old Nickolas Bright, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
