Domenicucci discusses tax issues at affordable housing conference 
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP Tax Department Partner Alexander G. Domenicucci recently spoke at the 12th Annual Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing.  His presentation was entitled “Top Ten Tax Issues in Structuring Low-Income Housing Credit Transactions,” covering common tax issues confronted in structuring low-income housing tax credit transactions, including the application of the “anti-churning rules” and the effect of related-party debt on credit allocations. The conference is attended by service providers, nonprofit and for-profit developers and financiers.

Domenicucci counsels individuals and businesses on a wide range of matters involving federal, state and local taxation with particular emphasis on the taxation of pass-through entities such as partnerships, limited liability companies, S corporations and real estate investment trusts. 

He is the Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Taxation Section’s Business Entities Committee. He is also a member of the Partnerships and LLCs Committee and the Real Estate Committee of the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association, and a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Domenicucci earned a J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School, was Editor-in-Chief of the Wayne Law Review from 1997 to 1998 and is a member of the Order of the Coif. He received a B.B.A. in accounting, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan.
