The Italian American Bar Association of Michigan (IABAM) celebrated its annual Justinian Night on Tuesday, June 29, at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Among those enjoying the evening were (l-r) Clara DeMatteis Mager of Butzel Long, IABAM vice president; Caterina Amaro of the Law Offices of Garmo & Associates PC, IABAM recording secretary; Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Martha Anderson, IABAM president; and John C. Bommarito of Attorneys Title Agency, IABAM treasurer.

“The Justinian Night is a tradition with the Italian American Bar Association in honoring the Justinian laws that were started by the Emperor Justinian and what we do is we give an award to one of our judges to honor them for all of their hard work and civic duty that they do,” Anderson said.
