Honigman attorney appointed vice chair of the Local Rules Advisory Committee for FBA


Cameron J. Evans, a partner in Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP’s Labor and Employment Department, has been appointed vice chair of the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter.  The appointment is for a one-year term beginning on July 1, 2013 and ending on June 30, 2014.  He has been a member of the committee since July 2012.
Evans is also the leader of Honigman’s Employment Litigation and Employment Counseling and Strategic Workforce Planning Practice Groups.  He is a nationally recognized employment attorney with extensive experience representing employers in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies and in private arbitrations regarding employment-related litigation, including class and collective action litigation.  He also has significant jury trial experience in both federal and state courts.  In addition, Evans is a National Football League Players Association Certified Contract Advisor (NFL agent) with an expanding sports law practice.
He earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School, and a B.A, from the University of Michigan.


ABA appoints members of firm to multiple leadership positions


Adrienne Dresevic, Jessica Gustafson and Clinton Mikel of Southfield-based The Health Law Partners were recently appointed to multiple positions for the American Bar Association – Health Law Section. Dresevic, a founding shareholder of the firm, will serve in multiple roles, including co-chair for the Publications Committee, chair of the Stark & Anti-Kickback Toolkit Editorial Board, liaison to The Health Law Editorial Board, vice chair for the Revenue Committee and vice chair for the Physicians Legal Issues Conference. Dresevic has published more than 60 articles on health care law and presents at national conferences throughout the year. Also a founding shareholder, Gustafson will serve as vice chair of the Physician Issues Interest Group. Gustafson graduated cum laude from Miami University, and earned her juris doctorate from Wayne State University Law School. Mikel will serve as chair of the eHealth, Privacy and Security Interest Group and vice chair of the Publications Committee. Mikel received his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School, and completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University.
