FBA, Wayne Law to host integrity summit

 The Federal Bar Association and Wayne State University Law School will present “Building An Honest & Open Government in Detroit: Why Public Integrity Matters” on Monday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at  the Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit. The summit will include the role of the private and public sectors in ensuring the public trust. Speakers will include Detroit Regional Chamber CEO Sandy Baruah, Detroit Council of Baptist Pastors General Counsel Rev. Bertram Marks, Wayne State Law School Dean Jocelyn Benson, and former federal prosecutor and Wayne Law Professor Peter Henning, among other headline speakers. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Chutkow and FBI Agent Bob Beeckman, who led the prosecution team in United States v. Kilpatrick, will participate in the summit, along with Detroit Inspector General James Heath. Public parking is available in Parking Structure 1 ($6.50 credit card only) which is located on Palmer Street west of Cass Avenue and in Lot 23 ($6.50 cash machine - exact change) which is on Palmer Street east of Cass Avenue.
