Cooley gathers gifts for 'Be a Santa to a Senior'

WMU-Cooley Law School's Sixty Plus Elderlaw Clinic and the school's students, faculty and staff teamed up with the Ingham County Department of Human Services, the Aging Network and Home Instead Senior Care to participate in the Be a Santa to a Senior program. The program provides holiday presents for lonely or financially challenged older adults in the community. All gifts donated matched a specific senior citizen's need and will be delivered to the individual before the holidays. WMU-Cooley's students, faculty and staff were able to gather gifts for more than 25 older adults who are in need.

"Ingham County's aging population should be remembered during the holiday season. Many older individuals are shut-ins or do not have family," said Erin Londo of WMU-Cooley's Sixty Plus Elderlaw Clinic. "We are happy that WMU-Cooley's students, faculty and staff came together to brighten the holiday season for the community's elderly."
