Grieco sworn in as secretary for the State Bar of Michigan


Jennifer Grieco, a partner at Neuman Anderson, P.C., a Birmingham-based business law firm specializing in complex commercial litigation, was sworn in as Secretary for the State Bar of Michigan for the 2015-2016 bar year at the SBM Annual Meeting on October 8, 2015.

The mission of SBM is to aid in promoting improvements in the administration of justice and advancements in jurisprudence, improving relations between the legal profession and the public, and promoting the interests of the legal profession in Michigan.

Grieco concentrates her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, professional malpractice and coverage disputes.

Her experience encompasses a broad range of commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on business tort claims including professional malpractice, contract claims, construction litigation and coverage claims.

A frequent speaker and published author, Grieco is past President of the Oakland County Bar Association and won a contested seat on the 2012 State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners in District I, representing Oakland County.

In addition to her position with SBM, Grieco serves as a member of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Council, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Michigan Association for Justice. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo and graduated cum laude and order of the coif from the University of Toledo College of Law.



Seminar on how to raise capital for new business entrepreneurs

The seminar is being offered by The seminar, Understanding Your Options for Raising Capital in Michigan, will give information on how to raise capital in Michigan.

The event is free and is being offered by  the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau.
The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Henry Ford College Forfa Auditorium, 5101 Evergreen Road in Dearborn. There will be no charge for parking or admission to the seminar. A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided.
