Helping the Hungry

WMU-Cooley Law School's Auburn Hills campus teamed up with Avondale High School to help 200 families in the local community this Thanksgiving. The law school collected turkey gift cards, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, cornbread mix, cake and frosting throughout the month of November from students, faculty and staff. Avondale High School, located in Auburn Hills, identified families in the district in need of donations to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for their family. This fundraiser was inspired by Professor Martha Moore. "I am proud of what our school has accomplished," said Moore. "We were able to collaborate and work together, and because of that hard work, 200 families will have food on their plates this Thanksgiving." Published: Thu, Nov 26, 2015
