Police look to forge constructive relationship with community

Madison Heights Police Department held an Open House and Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday, July 16. The event included tours of the Police Department, a bicycle rodeo for children, face painting, and free hot dogs, Frisbees, and balloons. “We’re continuously trying to reconnect with our community in a positive manner and this is one way to show our appreciation,” said Police Chief Corey Haines, who is pursuing his law degree as an evening student at Detroit Mercy Law School.
