'Raising the Bar': Detroit Bar Association toasts 2018 honorees at Detroit Club

The “Raising the Bar” Annual Meeting of the Detroit Bar Association took place June 20 at the recently renovated Detroit Club. Brian Summerfielda partner at Kostopoulos Rodriguez, was sworn in as the new president of the DBA, succeeding Arthur O’Reilly, a partner with Jones Day and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Summerfield, a University of Michigan alum, earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota and formerly served as a senior trial attorney with the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. In addition to his role with the DBA, Summerfield serves as a trustee of the DBA Foundation and as president of the Grosse Pointe Public School System Board of Education.
