Lunch and Learn

The Civil Rights Section of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, presented a Lunch & Learn program titled ­“Making a Federal (Civil Rights) Case Out of ­Evictions” on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. The panel consisted of (seated, L-R) Libby Benton, principal investigator, UM Poverty Solutions; U.S. District Court Judge Judith Levy, Eastern District of Michigan, program moderator; and Wayne ­County 36th District Court Chief Judge Nancy Blount; (standing) Steve Tomkowiak, executive director, Fair ­Housing Center of Metro Detroit; and Heidi Naasko, Pro Bono & Diversity ­counsel, Dykema LLC.
