Best Homes Title Agency expands Midwest footprint

Best Homes Title Agency, LLC (BHT), a leading provider in quality residential and commercial title insurance, has opened its newest office location in Gateway Executive Park, at 1821 Walden Office Square, in Schaumburg, Ill., a Chicago suburb.

The new Chicago area office, managed by Kisha Dallas, escrow manager, will be BHT's ninth location regionally, with plans for additional offices in the near future.

“Our Schaumburg location in suburban Chicago will allow for centralized title and escrow services covering the entire state of Illinois” said Dallas.

Neil Sherman, president and founder of BHT, said, “The opening of Best Homes Title Agency's newest Chicago office was an important step in continuing to offer our clients the highest level of convenience and customer service. As a company, we are continuing to grow and we needed our regional footprint to support our clients closer to home.”

The title industry has continued to evolve over the last several months and BHT has been at the forefront of these swift changes, according to Sherman.

BHT is a full-service title agency founded in 2006 by Sherman and Peter Schneiderman.

Ford recalls midsize SUVs to fix possible brake fluid leaks

Ford is recalling more than 558,000 midsize SUVs in North America because the brakes may not work properly.

The recall covers certain 2015 through 2018 Ford Edge and 2016 through 2018 Lincoln MKX vehicles.

Ford said Wednesday that some front brake hoses can rupture, causing brake fluid to leak. If too much fluid leaks, it could take more effort to stop the vehicle, and stopping distances could increase.

The company says it doesn't know of any crashes or injuries from the problem.

Drivers should see a brake warning light on the dashboard if the fluid gets too low.

Owners will be notified starting the week of Sept. 14. Dealers will replace the front brake jounce hoses with new ones with a different design.
