Fresh from winning a second term in office, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan was saluted as this year’s recipient of the Archer Award for Public Service during a November 16 gala at the Detroit Yacht Club. The event, presented annually by the Detroit Bar Association Foundation in honor of former Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, attracted a who’s who of the Detroit legal community, all there to pay tribute to Duggan, who has helped spearhead the city’s turnaround after it emerged from the cloud of bankruptcy in 2014.
