Tucker is new vice-president of WLAM Mid-Michigan Chapter

Attorney Catherine E. (“Katie”) Tucker has been named the 2016-2017 vice-president of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan’s Mid-Michigan Chapter, which serves Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, and Shiawassee counties.

She began her new role with the Mid-Michigan Chapter of WLAM on July 1; and her term expires June 30, 2017.

An associate at the Sinas Dramis Law Firm in Lansing, Tucker focuses her practice on personal injury matters, particularly auto no-fault cases.

She is the past-president of the Ingham County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section (YLS) and an ex-officio member of the ICBA and the Ingham County Bar Foundation (ICBF).

In March 2016, she received the ICBA’s “Top 5 Under 35 Award,” given annually to five young lawyers in recognition of their talents, skills, professionalism and civility in the profession.

Born and raised in East Lansing, Tucker earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Michigan State University and her law degree, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2012.

Tucker’s fellow Board members in the WLAM Mid-Michigan Chapter are President Amanda Pileggi from Secret Wardle in Lansing; Secretary Katherine Bennett, assistant attorney general in Lansing; Treasurer Sarah Hillegonds, assistant attorney general in Lansing; and with Lisa Hagen from Sinas Dramis serving as Mid Michigan Regional Representative.
