MLK Diversity Breakfast set Jan. 16

 The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will host the MLK Diversity Breakfast, 7:30-9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the Gene Davis and Sons Banquet & Convention Center, 3575 Francis St.

Attendees can meet and greet more than 400 community, business leaders and students who participated in Challenge Day while honoring youth and celebrating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The keynote speaker is Paula D. Cunningham, president and CEO of Capitol National Bank (CNB), a subsidiary of Capitol Bancorp Ltd., and interim chair of the board, the first woman and first African American to hold this position. Prior to joining Capitol National Bank, she was the first woman to serve as president of Lansing Community College .
