Agency practice examined at seminar

The State Bar of Michigan Labor and Employment Section recently hosted its annual Spring-Board seminar focusing on “The ABCs of Agency Practice” at The Reserve at Big Rock Chop House in Birmingham. Among those taking part in the evening were (seated, left to right) Danielle Lester, David Peltz, Julia Stern, Spring-Board Co-chair Susan Hiser, Neal Zechman and Sylvia Elliott; along with (standing, left to right) Kimberly Woolridge, Tiffany Buckley-Norwood, Dennis Boren, Sarah Karpinen, Dennis Devanui, Allyson Miller, Richard Hooker, Tiffany Cartwright, Spring-Board Co-chair Brian Koncius, Dana Wolfe, Mark Grant, Deborah Barnow, Gale Cober of EEOC and Heidi Sharp. Attendees heard from agency representatives, investigators, administrative law judges and experienced law practitioners on how to effectively represent their clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Michigan Employment Relations Commission (MERC) and Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA).
