DETROIT (AP) — A three-day event aims to showcase reasons to visit, work in and invest in Detroit.
The Detroit News reports Jim Griffin and Lori Farlow are organizing the Thumbs Up Detroit Conference and Expo at Cobo Center March 12-14.
Detroit emerged in December from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. Griffin says the city has “a lot for the rest of the world to see.”
Griffin has 200 booths for businesses and they are about 70 percent full. He’s seeking additional businesses to participate.
