A Public Service Internship Fair last month gave Wayne State University Law School students the opportunity to meet and network with representatives from 24 federal, state and local public-interest employers. Participating organizations covered a wide range of practice areas, including criminal law, employment law, health law and immigration law. Wayne Law’s Career Services office hosted the fair. At the event, representatives of nonprofit organizations and government agencies, as well as Wayne Law’s client clinics, shared information about their work, the constituencies they serve, and opportunities for law students and graduates to get involved. Organizations represented included the America Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, Elder Law and Advocacy Center, Legal Aid and Defender Association, Michigan Attorney Grieance Commission, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office
