Oakland County Bar Foundation (OCBF), a foundation serving the citizens of Oakland County and the legal profession, raised $310,000 for law-related programs across Oakland County at the 16th Annual Signature Event. More than 400 influential members of the legal community were in attendance on May 1 at Oakland Hills Country Club.

"We are so amazed and thankful every year by the unwavering support of our members and sponsors,” OCBF President Eric Pelton said. “Their generous donations and sponsorships ensure we continue to have the means to help fund even more local legal aid and education nonprofits.”

In total, $242,000 was raised from sponsorship activity and an additional $67,720 was raised in ticket sales and donations combined, for a grand total of $310,000.

Since 2002, OCBF has contributed more than $1.7 million to legal assistance and legal education programs. Proceeds from events have funded grants to organizations such as Family Law Assistance Project, The RESTORE Foundation, several programs through University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Legal Aid Mini Clinics, and Beaumont Hospital Legal Aid for Children and Families.
