Impact of Trump presidency explored

A panel discussion on how the Trump presidency is impacting minority groups and women was the topic of a program at Detroit Mercy Law last month. The event was presented by the Detroit Mercy OutLaws, the Black Law Students Association, the Hispanic and Latino/a Law Students Association and the Diversity Committee at the law school. Speakers included (left to right) Prof. Florise Neville-Ewell, Asha Noor from the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), and Profs. Pam Wilkins, Alex Vernon, Catherine Archibald and Andrew Moore. Noor discussed Islamophobia and the Trump presidency's impact on Muslims. Vernon and Moore examined the Trump presidency's impact on immigrants and immigration law while Archibald focused on the impact on transgender individuals. Neville-Ewell discussed the Trump administration’s impact on housing programs and how it affects minority groups while Wilkins focused on its impact on women.
