Wayne Law plans environmental justice conference

DETROIT — Environmental law professors, organizers, advocates and students from across the country will converge Friday, Jan. 26 for “Environmental Justice in Practice,” a conference at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

The conference, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will focus on emerging legal issues related to environmental injustice and exploration of career opportunities.

Delivering the morning keynote address will be Mustafa Santiago Ali, senior vice president of climate, environmental justice & community revitalization for the Hip Hop Caucus.

Delivering the lunch keynote address will be Charles Lee, senior policy advisor for the Office of Environmental Justice, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
