The Detroit Mercy Law Homecoming Golf Scramble and Dinner took place on September 28 at The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth. Some 134 golfers participated in the outing, including scores of alumni, current and retired faculty members, and 30 current students. Ten prospective law students also attended the event, according to Meghan Petiprin, communications specialist at Detroit Mercy Law. Upward of 174 guests gathered for the dinner and awards program, during which distinguished alums Judge Michael Riordan (’90) of the Michigan Court of Appeals was honored with the Time and Talent Award and Rosa A. Weaver (’13) received the Rising Star Award. The event grossed $45,000 in support of the Detroit Mercy Law Student Scholarship Fund.
