NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of two (2) public hearings to be held by the Norton Shores Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Norton Shores Municipal Building, 4814 Henry Street, for the purpose of hearing comments regarding:

        A variance request allowing Angela Romanin
        to construct an addition to a residential dwelling
        to be 12.5 feet from the required side yard property
        line as opposed to the minimum 25 feet setback
        as required by City Ordinance on the premises
        at 6532 Lake Harbor Road; and

        A variance to allow Joseph Firestone to construct
        a 1,920 square feet accessory structure, a variance
        of 920 square feet as allowed by City Ordinance,
        on the premises at 518 E. Farr Road

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS - ENGINEERING SERVICES

The City of Norton Shores invites statements of qualifications, experience, and interest from qualified engineering consultants for providing design and construction engineering services for Seminole Road reconstruction (RFQ-19-09).  The intended project will consist of the reconstruction of the roadway, narrowing of the roadway through road diet on the west end, placement and improvement/repairs of the storm water drainage system, replacement of existing traffic loop detectors at the Seaway Drive and Henry Street intersections, placement of curb and gutters, replacement of the existing water main, placement of new and repair of existing sidewalks and ADA ramps, new decorative lighting, any necessary utility repairs in the existing City right-of-way and landscaping per City’s Seminole Road Place Plan (available on City’s Web Site) within a mixed commercial and residential area.  Total project length is approximately 0.75 mile between Henry Street and the Seaway Drive (US-31BR).  Find the complete packet with minimum requirements at nortonshores.org/business/requestforbids or by contacting Jim Murphy, 231-799-6803.

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION
CITY OF NORTON SHORES


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Norton Shores City Council, at a regular meeting of August 20, 2019, adopted the following amendment to the Ordinance:

        Ordinance #808 – Chap 22, Disorderly Conduct,
        Offenses Against Property – Amend Penalty to
        Maximum Allowed by State Law (MCL 750.552)

The ordinance is available in its entirety at the City Clerk’s Office, 4814 Henry Street, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
