The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation (WLAMF) hosted its Awards Reception on Wednesday, March 30, at the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education in Detroit.

The reception is the occasion to introduce the 2011 Outstanding Women Law Students chosen to receive a total of $25,000 in scholarships to support their education.

The awardees were selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership on women’s issues, through a competitive process.

This year also marks the WLAMF’s 15th year of making awards to deserving women law students.

In that time, 185 awardees have received a total of $411,000 in financial support of their law school educations.
