Ambulance Chase raises funds for charity

Wayne State University Law School alumni, students and friends were invited to assist a local nonprofit as the Wayne Law Student Board of Governors (SBG) hosted the 26th annual Ambulance Chase Charity Run/Walk at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, on campus.

This year's event once again benefitted Cass Community Social Services.

Consisting of a 2.2-mile race (shorter for those who prefer to walk) during which participants run or walk behind an ambulance, the event pokes fun at the stereotype of the ambulance-chasing lawyer.

Helping to coordinate the event were (left to right) SBG Vice President Ashley Star Fisher and Jason Pearsall, SBG community service chairman and co-chair of the Ambulance Chase.

"The Ambulance Chase is an opportunity for Wayne Law students, friends and alumni to come together for a truly enjoyable event that has a meaningful impact on our community," said Pearsall.
